it's 2012! @ 1:23 PM
thankful that nothing crashed when the clock striked 12mn on 1st January 2012 (:
so it will just be down to 20.12.2012 to see if it's true. I really hope no because I've yet to get married and have a family of my own.
anyhow, I've been busy all the way since 21st dec'11 with events, chillouts and parties. albeit I was worn out and down with flu with activites packed back to back, it felt so awesome. This holiday was a little different cause I had time for friends & family, as well as spending some me-time.
on 21st dec, did a mini runway show at Attica Too for Kisslocke & Knightingale. love the heels & the awesome quality of apparels.
the make up seems a tad' too dark for my complexion.
i looked like i just went for tanning (somehow).
with the rest of the pretty ladies (:
together with the 3 owners - bubbly ladies
spent x'mas eve with my family at swissotel attending a wedding dinner.
bride is dad's cousin and she's only 24. married into a rich family and the newly wed couple had their wedding photos taken in Paris - city of romance. god damn envious cause expenses to Paris is exorbitant.
simple dinner with a few friends on christmas day itself.
dinner at astons followed by drinks/xmas exchange at prive. (:
got the guys to try out the cheese mushroom there which was really good but we forgot to warn them that it was piping hot when they took the first bite, hence the expression. oops guys! (:
I've been playing with this new app on my phone called "gif" recently and am totally in love with it.
there's a lot of templates to choose from and for that few seconds of recording, you're supposed to act out or do a short play. and here's what four of us got! (:

Did a casual shoot again with CJ just 2 weeks back and here's the outcome after 1.5 hours.
with very minimal makeup: drew my brows, conceal the imperfections and mascara.
I had a short stayover sometime after christmas; somewhere in sg. it went well. for that 24 hours, I didn't feel like I was in sg - relaxing and chilling (:
Then came NYE. I had last minute plans to work, the deal to work on that day was just too good.
1st event was at Ritz Carlton followed by another at MBS.
So i had the privilege to work at MBS again and it was much better this time because at 12mn, I got to watch the 8mins fireworks. everyone just stopped at what they were doing when the fireworks went off and what made it even more amazing was that I watched it at the 56th level.

End of work didnt get me to go home even though I wanted to. The cab queue was insane at MBS. I can easily say there were more than 100 people queuing at each of their taxi stand (there are 3 taxi stands in total, if im not wrong). So I walked to cityhall and called up the guys and asked where they were after work. since I couldn't go home, so i joined them for their friends' countdown party at Swissotel presidential suite.
I have to say that, it was my craziest night ever for the past 21 years of my life. Suite was on 66th floor, people inside were partying with loud music blasting that I could even hear when I was at the door. Room was dark with faint lights here and there, people dancing, lying on the floor and guys were all topless. (it was past 1am when I've reached.)
Not surprised by the fact that they were all so high because they've finished all the champagnes, red wines and hard liquor by the time we were there. (there were more than 60 bottles by the way.)
But was indeed surprised that no hotel guests complained that night because we were really chaotic. I partied with them, got a little tipsy with that bit of alcohol (yeah, I suck at drinking) but was sober enough. Had mcdonald's at 4am with many other strangers who didn't go home after countdown, like myself.
Literally didn't catch a wink at all till 8am when I left for home while my boy just zonked out at the sofa.
Never enjoyed a party as much as this one, probably cause there were people around whom I'm familiar and comfortable with. awesome. don't mind another one again over a festive season. (:
& anyway, I've been hanging around with people who are older than me recently and probably that's why Ive been mistaken that I'm already in the working society.
maybe when I'm one or two year old younger, it doesn't really matter to me but now that I'm 21 ... reality does hurt when people said that I don't look 21 :(
o' tell me, if I look that matured, seriously?

3rd last friday of 2011 @ 11:37 PM
just yesterday, I was complaining about being unemployed and bumming around at home ... then a phone-call came in the noon with a job offer.
pay wasn't incredible but cy & myself were happy enough to accept it because we both proclaimed that we're broke. sad but true. :(
7 hours won't have past by easily today if not for her company and some nonsense we faced at work.
the event co. is screwed or ought to be screwed for always giving half-past six instructions and eating up our pay.
I would be nice and understanding if things were told clearly beforehand or at the very least, some decent welfare at work. but no, so I'll say no and not give in too because I study math. math is logical/fair and I felt that we're being treated unfairly. Or to be more direct, I felt cheated. so I won't give in to a pte.ltd company complying to what shit rule that MOM has for you. i'm no boss of a company, just a student.
Made my way to town cause I scheduled a manicure appointment and I'm pretty happy with my blue shimmer gradient nails. can't stop touching and looking at it! (:
had a good chat with the manicurist (a local) and it makes me wonder when was the last time I came across a made-in-singapore manicurist.
and, Im having a headache over presents now. checked out burberry at paragon and the belt sizes run big. one design caught my eye cause of its metal buckle but it's not really "wow" enough to make me want to buy it.

mish-mash of my thoughts @ 10:45 AM
I'm trying to sort out my Taiwan photos via photoscape and it's really a bitch organizing and rearranging them.
so I admire bloggers who spend time taking photos, editing them and then churning out a post.
I can never do that.
and I realize whenever I do up a post, it's either halfway through the year or coming to the end of it.
so this time round, it's coming to the end of 2011.
as much as how many are talking about the doom's year - 2012, especially after the movie, I guess it's pretty much a year which I'm looking forward to. It's going to mark the last academic year of my life and if all goes well (I hope), I get a decent job. It's exciting for me (at least) because I'll be embracing a new phase and how I want to write this new chapter shall lie in my hands as well as some luck and faith.
If holidays mean rest & fun with no work, then I'm currently living the right way. It's ironic that I don't have much assignments (like I used to for other semester breaks) especially when the festive seasons are just round the corners which usually meant job peak season. but oh well, living a bummer life sounds pretty good too when no school work is involved. (:
slapping on masks almost every other day because I have more than 13 boxes at home; all from taiwan. hydrating myself by drinking almost 8 big glasses of water, enough sleep and yes food. but no exercise because no motivation :( Been staying home a lot because I'm trying to save money since I've got no income now and someone's birthday is coming which will then deplete my account to an all-time low. Think I will fall into depression by then because I really love to see the digits in my account going up and not down, how?
No reasons as to why I should give an exorbitant gift but I can't find something cheap & good which I think the person will like. We're not together, but we quarreled pretty much frequently and I figured that it wasn't prejudice - but flaws in character? being straightforward as well as his own personal development, I just told him straight. if he's smart (in an EQ-way), then he will get it and do something about it. If he doesn't, then it's too bad because it's really none of my business. I only take charge of my life and to those whom I care and care for me as well (:

turning 21st soon ... (but not yet!) @ 11:34 AM
after days/weeks of preparation, the party ended on friday (:
it was a blast! I really enjoyed myself despite being busy running around.
at least I've time to eat, enjoy and have fun laughing at how my friends tried to crack the code and act out for my games.
it's also good when u see your friends making friends with your other group of friends and they hit off well because of the games. (:
many thanks to cheng for helping me to "jagar" everything even though I know she's tired. *bbf!
though I know it's my party ... somehow, I still feel shy talking in front of so many people cause u know that all eyes were on you. hahaha.
im glad my party didnt flop and the venue was really a good location - SMU glassroom cafe!
received many compliments for its cosy settings; nice place to chill.
too much to say & neverending love to all who attended the party on friday :D
by far, the most memorable day in 2011 for me!

EXCITED* (: @ 1:03 AM
I've been feeling empty for the past 2 weeks cause I was jobless :(
it's kind of sad cause I won't be able to look forward to the next month where pay is usually issued.
to feel up the "emptiness", I've been busy prepping for my 21st party.
it's super *BE-EARLY!*
like 2 weeks before!
I guess on my actual 21st (which is the 18th of aug), I'll feel lost or something.
it seems stupid to celebrate like way too early but cause my b'day always falls on the 2nd week of school and it's pretty hard to get everyone to come together when we're all busy.
hence, the early celebration.
anyway, I way exceeded my budget which I've capped for previously.
I've been escaping by (intentionally) not doing any calculation for my b'day spending till today,
and ... *slaps face HARD*, I hit 4-digits!
now, I can totally understand how it feels like to spend hard earned money.
money is never too hard to spend, yet never too easy to earn.
this totally explains why I've been working so hard over the holidays. I love to spend but I need to work doubly hard to make what I spent worthwhile.
as much as my heart and bank account bleed, I hope all will go on well later tonight.
enough food, friends to have fun as well as to enjoy the games which I've planned. (:
Im really looking forward and excited cause this 21st, i've invited all the people whom I wanted to see. I don't feel obligated inviting anyone (unlike last year *) so I hope it will be a blast! (:
not a big group of people but definitely worth my time, money & effort to make it a good one to all my guests!
